Trap
Members and guests are invited to join us on Monday nights, April through October. Sign-up for both practice and in‐house leagues is from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Our club has three
regulation trap fields equipped with voice‐activated releases. Depending on attendance; one, two or three fields will be available.
In‐House Trap Leagues:
We run two in‐house leagues each year which are typically 10 weeks long with 12 scores
required. Unlimited shoot‐ahead and back is allowed. In the Spring we offer the “Pig League” which is named for our pig roast banquet at the end of the league. All rounds are shot at 16 yards. In the Fall we offer a “Variety League” (considered a fun league) where we shoot some mix of singles, wobble, doubles and handicap. At the end of the Variety League the banquet is a steak barbeque with all the fixins. Awards in multiple categories are presented at both banquets.
Holland Rod and Gun is affiliated with the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA). If you want to submit your score, please request at the beginning of the league.
Other Trap Leagues:
HRGC also sponsors teams in three traveling leagues: Pioneer Twilight Trap League, Pioneer Winter Trap League and Western New York Trap League. We also participate in the Shoot‐n‐Scoot which is a one‐day multi‐club league. In the traveling leagues, members shoot targets at each of the clubs and compete with shooters from all other clubs for league standing. Please contact one of our Trap Directors if you are interested in joining a HRGC traveling league team.
